Large jaw couplings are now being offered for bore sizes up to 1-3/4” or 45 mm and torque capacities of 2,655 in-lbs (300 Nm). These new large jaw couplings are designed for use in precision systems with high deceleration and acceleration curves, such as those found in semiconductor, solar, conveyor, and warehouse automation applications.
Pre-assembled modular mounting systems are designed for adjustability across many mounting applications. Conveyor mounting systems emphasize strict parallel installation using a flange-bolt base and a conveyor rail guide. Sensor mounting systems offer flexibility in a mounting application with adjustable or 90-degree connectors, two-way bases, and various mounting brackets. Both systems include stainless steel rods (with or without scale) from 100mm to 300mm in length, zinc clamping levers, and connectors that allow adjustment of the rods’ position.
Mountable shaft collars with face holes are designed to mate directly with components such as sprockets, pulleys, and metallic plates. Ruland manufactures them with drilled holes for mounting flexibility or threaded holes for the most secure connection between the collar and mated component. They are offered in steel, aluminum, and 303 stainless steel in bore sizes ranging from 3/8” to 2” and 10mm to 50mm.
Ruland LVO-OF-MSP-25-A is a two-piece mountable quick clamping shaft collar with clamping lever with a 25mm bore, 45mm OD, and 15mm width. It is made from OF-MSP-25-A and LF45-CL-M6:18-ZS. LVO-OF-MSP-25-A has OD flats and tapped holes for mounting shaft collars to each other or adjacent components. The clamp style design does not mar the shaft, is easy to remove, and is indefinitely adjustable. The threaded stud on the lever is used in place of standard collar hardware. Two-piece shafts collars can be assembled in-lace without the need to remove other components. Ruland mates halves throughout the manufacturing process for proper fit, alignment, and holding power. When combined, the two parts create a shaft collar that requires no tools to install, remove, or reposition and is ideally suited for packaging, printing, and other applications where frequent setup changes and adjustments are needed. Once the lever is installed in the shaft collar, users simply turn the lever until they meet their desired torque. The adjustable lever can be reposition by the user without the loss of holding power by lifting the handle and twisting it 40° to lock it in a new position. This allows for use in space constrained environments where 360° rotation is not possible to fully seat the lever. OF-MSP-25-A is made from high-strength 2024 aluminum. LF45-CL-M6:18-ZS has a zinc plated steel handle and stainless steel threaded stud. This material combination allows for a lightweight durable quick clamping and release component that is suitable for most industrial applications. The lever is orange for safety and ease of identification. OF-MSP-25-A is manufactured by Ruland and LF45-CL-M6:18-ZS is manufactured by Otto Ganter. LVO-OF-MSP-25-A is RoHS3 and REACH compliant.
